FAQs

How much does it cost to hang out on Friday nights?

Nothing! Friday night hangs are completely free. Your first drink is always free, and we try to have free snacks each week for you to munch on. If you would like to make a monetary donation to ensure the continuation of our space, feel free to visit our donation page here.

Who is allowed in the building?

High school students who have registered and signed in, and our incredible team of volunteers. The only adults allowed in the building on Friday nights have all been background checked, thoroughly vetted, and trained. If a parent or guardian needs to pick up a student, they must wait at the check in counter and are not able to enter the building.

Are you a church?

The short answer is no. The long answer is kind of. In March of 2023, Beyond Church made the decision to transform their church building into a youth center to serve the students of Castle Rock. That decision led to the creation of The Warehouse. Our funding is supplied through Beyond Church, and our initial volunteers were from Beyond Church as well. So while we meet in a church building, and all of our supplies are funded by the church, Friday night hangs are designed to be a safe space for students to connect with one another. Regardless of the days our doors are open, everyone is welcome inside. We love that you want to be here, and we hope you feel at home. There is no spiritual prerequisite to hang out with us. Come as you are, however you are, and connect with someone!

Are LGBTQ+ students welcome?

We are absolutely accepting of any person who comes through our doors. The Warehouse is an opportunity for any student of any background to come and hang out. We have an open door and want to provide an opportunity for high school students to find connection and build community. Teens who are gay, lesbian, transgender, cisgender, non-binary, etc are welcome and respected. We believe that every person regardless of background or life situation is valuable and worthy of respect. A teen’s gender and sexual identity is irrelevant to how they will be treated within our walls. When we ask that kids come as they are, however they are, we actually mean that. Preferred names and pronouns will be used.

Is it true you make watermelon lattes?

We will add any flavor syrup to whichever drink you choose. So while watermelon is available to add to a latte, why in the world would you want to?
